Steps involved in a smart home project by Pro Electra
Step One – Free No-Obligation Consultation (Virtual Consultation available!)
Once you show your interest in Pro Electra products and services, we will schedule a project specialist to visit your home to discuss your home automation needs and preferences. Our specialist will guide you through all the options and how best to install new smart home devices or system.
Step Two – Project Estimation
Following this consultation, we will draft up the project proposal with all the details on how the project will be delivered. This estimation will include a full breakdown of all costs involved, including material, equipment, design and installation charges.
Step Three – Planning and Designing
We get your feedback and input on the initial proposal. If there are any modifications that need to be made, these are taken care of in a couple of days to finalize the project details. After you give us the green light to start working on the project, our design team starts putting things together to draft a comprehensive plan for your project.
Step Four – Preparation for the Job
Once the design plan is approved by our clients, we start performing all the prep work for installation of wiring and cabling. Any minor structural and/or electrical work that needs to be done prior to the installation, will be performed e.g. mounting new equipment, adjusting sockets and creating power outlets in optimal locations. We are very experienced in completing our work with precision and ensuring that your home aesthetics are not compromised in any way. All wiring and auxiliary equipment will be behind the walls or hidden to serve this purpose.
Step Five – Installation of Equipment
This is the main execution phase where we install your smart automation products in their place according to the design plan. We connect smart devices and appliances with all the components including controllers, keypads, interfaces, cabling, etc. All the debris and installation equipment are cleared out and your property is restored with awesome smart home products.
Step Six – Programming, Testing and Commissioning
After installation of all new products, we are ready for testing and communication. These systems are programmed for communication with your control system as per your preferences. Our automation specialists will thoroughly test out the systems and devices to ensure that everything is working smoothly. Before signing off, our staff walks you through the new installation and how your smart home system works. Any questions that you may have on the different operating feature will be answered by our friendly team.
